What's New: Canal Side Panel Discussion

As a member of the Common Council, Michael Kearns has made City Hall start to work for the people of Buffalo:

  • Created a Neighborhood Accountability Board, a proactive board of public officials and private citizens to address housing and neighborhood concerns;
  • Fought successfully on behalf of residents for the Hickory Woods Settlement, a 12-year-old environmental contamination claim;
  • Implemented Floodplain Insurance Reform, saving residents from the burden of paying costly flood insurance premiums;
  • Proposed a Water Ratepayer Bill of Rights to clarify Water Authority policies and streamline billing procedures;
  • Introduced Smart Code legislation to update and streamline the city's antiquated zoning codes to promote quality-of-life and spur new economic development...
